I made sense of the “Sum of Integers” formula but when I went back to the example problem and it’s explanation, I got confused. I could not apply the formula I had just learned. I am not sure why but I need to figure it out otherwise there was no point in learning the formula.

TLDR;

Okay, so here are the highlights of what I did:

• Still reading through the book “Cracking the Coding Interview” by Gayle Laakmann McDowell. I am still working through the examples on a nested for loop. I got back to looking at example 3 but the explanation has me scratching my head.
