Day 71: This book Skips Steps but I Don’t

Finally got through the example but it took a slow and patient approach. The book jumped straight to the final solution without including the substitution. It threw me off until I walked through the formula, substitution, and simplification step by step. Ultimately, it is my responsibility to make sure I understand so I am not upset. I am actually happy that I keep slowing down to ensure that I can make sense of what I am reading.

TLDR;

Okay, so here are the highlights of what I did:

  • Still reading through the book “Cracking the Coding Interview” by Gayle Laakmann McDowell. I got through example 3 on Big O notation and moved onto example 4.
  • Started Introduction course to Microsoft Power Platform. I started my notes as well. I need to make sure that I am keeping track of what I am learning so that I can comeback to the information when I need it. Since I study so many different topics, my notes are the only things that are keeping things organized. I cannot emphasize enough how important notes are.

Conclusion

That’s all for today. If you are interested in the MIT course you can check out the video lecture I’m currently going through. The lecture is helpful but isn’t sufficient by itself. Anyways, until next time PEACE!
