Armed with my new foundation with Sets, Sequences, and Series I went back to try and understand the solution for Example fourteen’s Big O runtime calculation. I only got to just start it after finishing a few tests on my sequence knowledge. I really hope it goes better this time but hey, if it doesn’t go well then I just have another opportunity to learn where I am lacking and how I can improve.
TLDR;
Okay, so here are the highlights of what I did:
- Still reading through the book “Cracking the Coding Interview” by Gayle Laakmann McDowell. I am still stuck on example fourteen. Came back to the problem to try and walk through the solution provided in the book. I have to say… I am really grateful that there are explanations for the example problems. It helps me understand what I am missing and through a trial and error process I improve. I know this is a slow section of my development as a software developer but it’s gonna make the future learning feel so much better. I hope lol.
Conclusion
That’s all for today. If you are interested in the MIT course you can check out the video lecture I’m currently going through. The lecture is helpful but isn’t sufficient by itself. Anyways, until next time PEACE!
